This position offers a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team that blends academic medicine with clinical practice across Dayton and the surrounding region. As a faculty member, you will play an integral role in educating and training medical students, residents, and fellows, while providing care to a diverse patient population in a variety of clinical settings.In this role, you will be part of one of the most comprehensive healthcare systems in Southwest Ohio, and Wright State University s Boonshoft School of Medicine. Job Duties: Participating in didactic teaching, journal clubs, clinical case conferences, and other teaching assignments for residents and medical students, as assigned by and in collaboration with the department and BSOM s academic leadership.Contributing to the division s clinical/patient care, research, and teaching missions.Clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care on the division s services, including a combination of contributions to the inpatient teaching service, Miami Valley Infection Specialists clinics; working with a large outpatient HIV population, other infectious diseases including but not limited to:Antibiotic therapy supervision, Complicated wound care, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Chronic urinary tract infections, HIV, Lyme DiseaseRegular outpatient clinical practice.APP collaboration for both Inpatient and Outpatient clinical practiceBackground Profile: Board Certified / Board Eligible Infectious DiseaseAbility to hold an Ohio State Medical LicenseUS Citizen or Permanent Resident StatusMD, DO or MBBS degreeCompleted Internal Medicine residencyCompleted Infectious Disease fellowshipFederally-issued DEA LicenseFOR MORE INFORMATION:
