AV Tech Lead

This is an excellent opportunity for an audio-visual professional with 3-5 years of experience to work in a medium-sized global event management company focused on language services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about technology, real-time communication, and technical integrations across multiple platforms. You will work with a dynamic team of project managers, technical managers, recruiters, and global strategic partners, to develop and deliver world-class multilingual solutions during live events. Responsibilities Manage technical aspects of multiple projects involving virtual and in-person meetings. Provide remote technical and operational support during live events for interpreters and clients. Implement, test, and deliver new products and technical solutions within the company. Oversee projects to provide seamless experiences for our clients. Assure compliance with all technical requirements during events. Manage multimedia projects with interpretation (overlays, videos). Directly engage with clients to ensure our technical services are implemented with the high standards. Working requirements Reside in the Greater Chicagoland Area near our office HQ in Oak Park, IL. Work both remotely and in our Chicago office is required to manage the in-house AV and computer equipment, inventory QC, and shipping/receiving packages for on-site events. Travel to on-site events is required (for up to 50% of the time) to support engagements ranging from 10 to 10,000 attendees. Qualifications Technical background, with understanding or hands‑on experience in web technologies. Experience with audio/video systems both virtual and physical. Experience with Zoom, Teams, WebEX, Intrado, and other virtual meeting platforms. Hands‑on knowledge of computer hardware and software in both Windows and Mac OS platforms. Excellent client‑facing and internal communication skills across various stakeholders. Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and meticulous equipment management. Strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles. Self‑starter with the ability to work independently. Loves to test, develop, and launch new solutions/products. Thrives under pressure, remaining calm and professional. Teamwork mindset and personality. What can we offer you?
