Job Description Job Opportunity: Speech Language PathologistOur organization is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Speech Language Pathologist to become a part of our Healthcare & Medical Services team. This position involves assessing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders among senior residents in a rehabilitation-oriented, long-term care setting.Emphasizing a patient-centered and family-oriented approach, you will:Conduct thorough evaluations and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.Provide direct therapy services aimed at enhancing functional communication, ensuring safe swallowing, and improving overall quality of life.Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing staff, physical and occupational therapists, physicians, social services, and family members, to coordinate care effectively.Set meaningful functional goals and strive to optimize outcomes for each resident.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister standardized assessments and document findings and progress in the electronic medical record.Educate patients and caregivers on relevant topics.Engage in care conferences and contribute to discharge planning and home programming as needed.Maintain high clinical standards while adhering to all regulatory and ethical guidelines.Promote a culture of safety, dignity, and respect for every resident.Working ConditionsThis role is set within a supportive, team-oriented environment that fosters professional development, continuous learning, and clinical excellence.
