Sales Manager, East

Purpose:The Sales Manager at Taylor and Martin is responsible for leading and executing the company’s sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market presence across the Eastern United States. This role oversees the sales team, develops strategic customer relationships, and identifies new business opportunities within the transportation and auction industry. The Sales Manager serves as a leader that aligns sales initiatives with Taylor and Martin’s objectives while ensuring high performance, accountability, and consistent growth across the region. This position requires strong leadership, business planning, and active engagement in the field to support both team success and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing with a dotted line reporting to the Sales Director.Location Requirement:Candidates must be based in the Eastern region of the United States or may work from our corporate office in Nebraska. This role involves frequent travel and in-person interaction, so living in the East is important to successfully support the teamDuties and Responsibilities:• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Sales Representatives across the Eastern United States.• Establish and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including key accounts and partnerships.• Monitor sales performance metrics and provide coaching and guidance to improve results.• Participate in client meetings, industry events, and auctions to strengthen market presence.• Ensure accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline management.• Drive accountability and performance across the sales team to meet or exceed company goals.Skills and Qualifications:• Proven experience in sales leadership or management role required.• Strong understanding of over-the-road tractor and trailer equipment preferred.• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.• Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.• Dynamic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Eastern United States.Work Environment & Travel Requirements: • Based out of a company office, with significant travel.• Frequent travel required to meet clients, and support sales team activities.Industry: Transportation / TruckingCompensation: Base Salary + Car Allowance + Annual Performance Bonus + Full Benefits Package
