DescriptionJob Title: CNC Assistant ManagerDepartment: CNCReports to: Manufacturing ManagerStatus: Hourly/Non-ExemptLast Revised: 7/6/2022Pay Grade: $25.00 – $30.00 Job Summary And Primary ObjectivesMonitor and assist, when necessary, the CNC processes to ensure quality products are produced. Motivate, train, and direct the work activities of subordinate staff.Tasks And ResponsibilitiesSchedule production on all machinesRequest maintenance assistance when necessary/schedule PM’s Know all suspect part and material proceduresAbility to read IPPI sheet/know what and where to run parts Order replacement and stock items Maintain relationship with vendorsAssist in trainingKaizen projectsSupervise and handle employee issuesProgram and set-up CNC lathe machines and other production equipmentDetermine the sequence of operations, methods of setup and layoutUse measuring gauges to perform product quality checksInspect parts against blueprints and specifications; ensuring product meets specified quality standardsReduce run times and increase tool lifeTroubleshoot and resolve problems leading to continual process improvementsMaintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.Observe all safety practices and proceduresPerform preventative maintenance and keep machines lubricatedOther duties as assignedSkills And AbilitiesExcellent people skillsGood communication skills (verbal & oral)Excellent computer skills.Excellent organization skills.Excellent understanding of production processes.Attention to detail and can follow written and verbal directionsBasic reading, writing and math skillsAbility to read and understand BlueprintsAbility to use and interpret measuring gaugesAbility to troubleshoot and solve problemsCapable of producing high volume parts with exceptional qualityEducation And ExperienceAssociates degree in related area or equivalent experience.3+ years of manufacturing experience2+ Years of supervisory or team leading experience
