Export Operations Analyst (Hybrid - Warren, MI)
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Export Operations Analyst to help support their business needs.The focus in this position is to assist in resolving current issues, providing solutions that benefit both the company and customer, and to encourage and share best practices.ResponsibilitiesTrack export orders from Order-to-Delivery (OTD) for global vehicle shipmentsCommunicate with export customers regarding order entry issues, order changes, rejected orders, and cancellationsMonitor and update Manufacturing Validation Build (MVB) status reports on a weekly basisCoordinate with logistics, finance, export product managers, MVB coordinators, offshore plants, and international markets regarding changes impacting product launchesEscalate shipment, logistics, or launch-related issues to leadership as neededPrepare manual invoices for MVBs when requiredCoordinate logistics and financial transactions, including credit and rebill requests, reconsignments, and special shipment moves such as air freight or spot buysGenerate, analyze, and review weekly operational reports related to production scheduling, delayed target production weeks, and logistics release issuesFollow up with offshore manufacturing plants regarding system integration or production tracking issuesParticipate in monthly operational and logistics calls with international markets and cross-functional teamsCreate and manage Order Work Bench (OWB) user access for export dealers and coordinate systems access supportPartner with IT teams to resolve delivery reporting and logistics system issuesSupport logistics teams by coordinating shipment-related inquiries with port processors and logistics partnersLearn and execute operational reporting using internal logistics and order management systemsProvide vacation coverage and operational support for team members on critical tasksTrack vehicles at ports and ensure timely delivery to global regionsResolve operational roadblocks to ensure smooth international shipments and export operationsSkills And Qualifications1-3 years of experience in logistics, export operations, vehicle shipping, or supply chain operationsExperience supporting global vehicle exports or international shipping operations preferredFamiliarity with global shipping regulations and export processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutionsStrong relationship-building and customer communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively through phone and email interactionsAbility to understand and support unique customer requirements across international marketsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesStrong organizational and operational coordination skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to learn and navigate multiple operational and logistics systemsExperience using order management, logistics, or export tracking systems preferredFlexible and adaptable in handling changing priorities and operational demandsCollaborative mindset with strong teamwork skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with global logistics providers or export management organizationsExperience with DF Young or similar logistics partnersExperience using logistics and operational systems such as VOMS, POMS, VTIMS, V-Logistics, Order Workbench, BARS, GMDID, or VinViewExperience coordinating vehicle exports from North America to international regionsExperience managing logistics-related financial transactions, including reconsignment and rebillingHours and Location:M-F, 40 hours/week8 am - 4:30 pmHybrid in Warren, MI - Tue/Wed/Thur in office, Mon/Fri remoteAn Equal Opportunity Employer.
