Journeys is an attitude you can wear.Journeys is always looking for great people to join our team!Job SummaryTo assist District Sales Manager in supervising retail store locations in assigned district, while developing necessary skill sets to perform the job functions required as a DSM.Essential Job FunctionsAchieve district sales goals and profitability targets while maintaining home store performanceSupport the DSM in evaluating people, performance, developing action plans to improve sales, and measuring resultsAssist in staffing stores within the districtAssist in managing Loss Prevention practices within the districtDirect store operations and provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practicesEnsure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company directionRecruit, interview, and hire store management candidates as per Regional/DSM instructionsTrain, develop, and promote store employees within the districtRegularly conduct store visits as per Regional/DSM instructionsMaintain regular communication with District Sales Manager, Regional, and corporate office staffRequirementsJob RequirementsPrior retail district training management experience required12 years retail sales experienceExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsHome store meets the Grand Open Ready criteriaValid state motor vehicle operator's licenseWillingness to travel extensively within districtProven ability to increase sales and profitabilityProven ability to recruit, train, and develop high-caliber teamsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environmentCompletion of all training programs leading up to District Manager in Training position or equivalent training/Multi-Store Supervisor experienceAbility to work night and weekend shiftsAbility to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 poundsStand for long periods of timeMust be at least 18 years of age**Age requirements for full-time employment may vary based on statePay Details $15.13 - 40.00
