Our work supports the development and manufacture of products that improve and save lives.At TVS, engineers have the opportunity to work directly with clients, solve real-world problems, and take ownership of meaningful validation projects.About the RoleTVS is seeking a Validation Engineer to support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You will work with project teams and client personnel to plan and execute validation activities, troubleshoot issues, and prepare the technical documentation required to demonstrate that systems and equipment are fit for their intended use and compliant with applicable GMP requirements.Our ideal candidate has approximately 2–5 years of relevant CQV or validation experience and is ready to take on increasing responsibility and work independently. We are also open to candidates with more extensive experience who bring strong technical, problem-solving, and client-facing capabilities.What You'll DoPlan and execute commissioning, qualification, and validation activities for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing environmentsDevelop, review, and execute validation protocols and associated documentationSupport qualification of equipment, facilities, utilities, and manufacturing systemsTroubleshoot and resolve issues identified during commissioning, qualification, and validation activitiesWork directly with client personnel, contractors, and project teams to coordinate validation activitiesIdentify potential project risks and issues early and develop practical solutionsManage assigned activities to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality expectationsPrepare clear, accurate, and technically sound validation reports and other project documentationEnsure validation activities are aligned with GMP requirements and applicable industry standardsParticipate in client meetings and communicate project status, issues, and recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectivesTake ownership of assigned work and communicate proactively when issues could affect project scope, schedule, budget, or qualityWhat We're Looking ForRequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical fieldExperience in commissioning, qualification, validation, or a related role within a regulated industryWorking knowledge of GMP principles and validation practicesAbility to read, understand, and develop technical documentationStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal project teamsStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality documentationAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting project schedules and commitmentsWillingness to work at client sites throughout the San Francisco Bay AreaPreferredApproximately 2–5 years of CQV or validation experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturingExperience qualifying equipment, facilities, and/or utilitiesExperience supporting new facility construction, commissioning, startup, or facility expansion projectsExperience executing validation protocols in a GMP manufacturing environmentExperience with electronic validation or document management systemsExperience working directly with clients or serving as a client-facing project resourceExperience working with contractors, vendors, or other project stakeholders in a construction or manufacturing environmentWhat Success Looks LikeWithin the first year, a successful Validation Engineer will:Execute assigned validation activities with increasing independenceDevelop strong working relationships with clients and project teamsProduce accurate, well-written validation documentationIdentify and communicate project issues before they become schedule or budget problemsDevelop a strong understanding of client requirements and applicable GMP expectationsEffectively troubleshoot technical and project issuesActively contribute to the TVS team, seek guidance when needed, and support teammates in delivering on our commitmentsBecome a trusted member of the TVS project teamDemonstrate the ability to take ownership of assigned work while leveraging the experience and mentorship available within TVSWhy TVSTVS offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries while developing both technical and client-facing skills.You will be part of a collaborative TVS team with experienced mentors and leaders who are invested in your success.
