We have raised outside capital, are actively expanding, and are looking for experienced sales talent who can help us grow into new customer relationships and markets.Position OverviewSkillSaige is seeking an Independent SaaS Sales Representative to help identify, introduce, and close new business opportunities.This is an independent contractor position. The ideal candidate will already have relevant industry relationships and a proven ability to generate qualified sales opportunities.During an initial trial period, we are looking to confirm that the candidate has meaningful connections, can generate qualified opportunities, and can perform effectively in the role.Initial Trial PeriodThe initial trial period will last 4 weeks. As this is intended for experienced salespeople with a meaningful network, the goal is to help convert up to 2 leads during that time. If that goal is met early, we may discuss moving ahead faster.This trial period is not intended to be a full-time commitment. We will not be asking for daily standups or any unpaid work. The only standing requirement will be a weekly check-in with the SkillSaige team to review progress, answer questions, and confirm next steps. The purpose of the trial period is simply to confirm that the representative can generate qualified opportunities and deliver results.During the trial period, compensation will be handled through a written finder’s fee agreement. Finder’s fees will range from 25% to 50% of the initial order’s list price, depending on the nature of the deal. Final payment terms will be governed by the written agreement.During the trial period, product demos will initially be handled by a SkillSaige product specialist, allowing the sales representative to focus primarily on introductions, relationship development, qualification, and opportunity generation.Long-Term OpportunityThe intent is to identify and continue forward with the right person in an ongoing sales capacity.After the initial trial period, the position will continue as an independent contractor role, with compensation primarily based on commissions. The role is designed to grow in stages, with additional sales responsibilities and support added as fit, performance, and capabilities are confirmed. This will include handling product demos, receiving company-generated leads, and benefiting from targeted advertising support. This opportunity is intended to lead to a long-term full-time sales role that includes a base salary in addition to commissions.As a startup with aggressive growth targets, SkillSaige is open to generous commission percentages for the right candidate. Depending on performance, there may also be an opportunity for equity participation, especially for candidates who can help further develop the sales process and drive growth.SkillSaige is an early-stage company with significant room for growth. For the right person, this is an opportunity to get involved early, help shape the company’s sales direction, and grow with the business.Ideal CandidateThis position is limited to candidates within the United States, but SkillSaige is remote-first. As an independent contractor role, we are focused on results, not where, when, or how you work.
