Lead Transformation Project Manager (Contract)
Aptia Group US is seeking a highly experienced Lead Transformation Project Manager (Contractor) to support the delivery of complex, high‑impact initiatives within our U.S. business. This is a temporary, contractor position designed to support key transformation and delivery needs within a defined timeframe.In this role, you will be responsible for managing large-scale client and internal programs across benefits administration, including implementations, renewals, platform enhancements, and operational change initiatives. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.You will serve as a senior individual contributor and key delivery leader to enable our transformational ambitions, managing complex workstreams in close collaboration with leadership and fellow colleagues. This role requires a strategic thinker, storyteller, and hands‑on executor.This position is well suited for a seasoned project management professional can quickly integrate into a fast‑paced, transformation‑focused organization.Location: Ideally, this role will be hybrid from one of our office locations. Remote candidates may be considered for the right fit. The position requires Eastern or Central Time availability.What you’ll be doingLead end-to-end delivery of complex, high‑visibility projects across the U.S. benefits administration businessOwn delivery outcomes, dependencies, and benefits realization for assigned initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectivesAct as the primary point of contact and thought partner for assigned initiatives, managing expectations and driving alignment and execution throughout the project lifecycleCoordinate with cross‑functional teams to manage dependencies and drive progressIdentify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as appropriateApply established project governance, reporting, and documentation standards to ensure transparency and consistencySupport financial stewardship of initiatives, including tracking spend, assessing impacts to business cases, and supporting delivery of expected benefitsDrive and support continuous, client‑centric improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery processes, tools, and ways of workingEnsure projects align with U.S. regulatory, data privacy, and compliance requirements relevant to benefits administrationWhat we’re looking forProven experience delivering complex, large‑scale projects (industry experience preferred but not required)Strong hands‑on project management experience with direct ownership of delivery across multiple concurrent initiativesDemonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders as a trusted thought and execution partnerStrong problem‑solving, organizational, and decision‑making skillsExcellent storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to both technical and non‑technical audiencesRelevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Six Sigma, or equivalent) preferredAbility to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environmentAbility to think strategically while executing with precisionA project manager who views the role as more than assigning tasks or reporting, but as a trusted partner delivering meaningful transformation7+ years of transformation, project management, or related experienceConsulting experience preferred
