Scope Of PositionThe Regional Sales Director provides commercial leadership for a region generating more than $100M in annual revenue. This role is accountable for regional sales strategy, revenue growth, market penetration, and specification share across multiple product segments. The position oversees approximately 15 independent sales representative firms and ensures alignment between corporate priorities and regional market execution.This role covers the Southern U.S., including TX, FL, NC, GA, SC, OK, AR, LA, MS, TN, and AL. Candidates must reside within 60 minutes of a major airport in Florida, Texas, Nashville, Atlanta, or the Carolinas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, including but not necessarily limited to the following:Own commercial performance of the region, including revenue growth and market share expansion.Develop and execute the regional strategic sales plan aligned with corporate objectives.Establish annual revenue targets and ensure accountability across the region.Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.Lead approximately 15 independent rep firms and manage their performance and territory optimization.Oversee rep selection, onboarding, and transitions.Drive basis‑of‑design (BOD) specification strategy with architects and engineers.Build strong relationships with design professionals to influence specifications.Monitor major project opportunities through design, bid, and award phases.Lead commercial engagement across distributors, contractors, subcontractors, and strategic accounts.Grow contractor pull‑through demand and strengthen distribution performance.Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility, managing all KPIs.Drive disciplined pipeline management and bidding activity.Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Estimating, and Executive Leadership.Provide coaching and leadership to regional sales resources and rep firms.40–60% travel within the region. KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)Bachelor’s degree preferred.10–15 years of progressive commercial sales leadership experience.Experience managing independent rep networks.Proven success in specification‑driven, project‑based sales.
