Our mission is to inspire women and build community through arts, culture, education, service, and stewardship of our historic campus and collections. POSITION SUMMARY The Facilities Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining a historic campus in excellent condition and ensuring it is fully prepared to support a wide range of events. This hands-on position requires technical skills, adaptability, and a strong service-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe, functional, and visually appealing environment for members, guests, and staff. This role is essential to ensuring the campus operates smoothly and preserves its historic character and integrity. This is a part time on call, hourly position with a varying schedule not exceed 29 hour in a week. Key Responsibilities: Move and arrange indoor and outdoor furniture, rugs, artwork and other items for event setups, filming, and daily operations Assist staff, and guests with facility-related needs in a timely and professional manner, as guided by supervisor Set up and break down spaces for events, including weddings, filming, meetings and corporate functions Provide on-site facilities support for campus events and special functions, collaborating with events, banquets, and security teams [CS1] Work with film and television production representatives to ensure proper and careful use of facilities [CS2] Execute daily assignments based on the event calendar and operational priorities Coordinate logistics to ensure all spaces are properly prepared and functional Ensure cleanliness of all areas, including restrooms, offices, and common spaces [CS3] Manage trash removal and general upkeep of campus facilities Adhere to all company safety procedures and emergency protocols Maintain fire and burglar alarm systems awareness and functionality Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance, janitorial supplies, and office necessities (including water supplies) Monitoring facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards and regulations Address security concerns and report incidents promptly to supervisors Respond promptly to radio communications and facility requests Collaborate closely with the Facilities Manager and team to maintain high-quality campus standards Maintain, preserve and restore building and grounds by cleaning, painting, handling simple plumbing and electrical repairs, and other related maintenance activities, as needed Perform routine maintenance including HVAC support, floor and tile care, furniture upkeep, and landscaping Proactively monitor and care for the campus to prevent issues before they arise Ability to safely use power tools and equipment, as needed Qualifications: High school diploma: You need to have completed high school (or equivalent like a GED). Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail and aesthetics Excellent communication and customer service skills Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work varying schedules, including weekends Strong sense of responsibility and accountability Ability to deliver results and complete assignments on time High level of attention to detail Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality Experience in a historic property or event venue environment is a plus Minimum Requirements: The Ebell of Los Angeles provides a dynamic working environment in which duties and responsibilities may change. Employees are expected to be flexible and responsive to changes in the scope of their duties. All employees are required to pass a background check. Compensation $17.57 – $20.00p hour Scheduling Notes: Schedule changes weekly; weekend and evening work are required. Hours may vary and can start early or end late, depending on event needs. Overtime is discouraged and must be approved in advance by the Facilities Manager. Physical Requirements: Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs. unassisted include the ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights safely.
