Application Developer

Job PurposeThe Application Developer's role is to use intermediate experience and knowledge of different programming languages to create and maintain programs and applications. Individuals in this role will collect research data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend courses of action to take. This includes the analysis of requirements and functional specifications to design, build, test, implement and support corrections and or enhancements. The role is expected to develop integrated solutions aligned with TD SYNNEX's business units utilizing robust computing architectures in a multi-tier environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Spring BootBuild responsive and user-friendly UI components using ReactCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other developersWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested codeTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performanceParticipate in code reviews and technical discussionsKnowledge, Skills And Experience3-5 years' experience in Java (Java version 8+)Hands-on experience with Spring Boot (REST APIs, Spring MVC, Spring Security)Solid understanding of microservices architectureExperience with React.js (functional components, hooks, state management)Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+)Experience integrating frontend React apps with backend APIsKnowledge of RESTful web services and JSONExperience with SQL / NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)Familiarity with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPAExperience with Git and version control workflowsExperience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor) to accelerate development while maintaining strong code quality, security, and review standards.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build tools (Maven/Gradle)Nice to HaveExperience with Docker and KubernetesKnowledge of AWS / Azure / GCPFamiliarity with Redux, Context API, or other state management toolsExperience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, Jest)Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practicesAt TD SYNNEX, our values guide everything we do: Together, We Own It, We Dare to Go, We Grow and Win, and above all, We Do the Right Thing.
