Business System Analyst

Title: BSA With Exp in VaricentLocation: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid)Long Term Contract On C2CKey ResponsibilitiesTesting & Validation: Coordinate execution of functional, integration, and regression test cases for Varicent ICM components, including Composer, Reports, Web Forms, and Data Modules.Data Validation (SQL): Write complex SQL queries to validate end-to-end data flow (ETL) from source systems (SAP/SFDC) into Varicent.Compensation Testing: Validate incentive compensation plans, including plan calculations, quotas, and pay components.Automation: Identify areas to implement automated test scripts to accelerate testing cycles, specifically for regression testing.Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or HP ALM.Environment Migration: Support migrations of calculations, tables, and reports between Varicent models (Dev, SIT, UAT, Production).Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and sales operations to clarify requirements and resolve issues.Required Skills & QualificationsExperience: 5–10 years of professional software quality assurance experience.Varicent Expertise: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Varicent ICM/SPM development or QA.Technical Skills: Strong SQL proficiency is mandatory. Experience with JavaScript, Python, or ETL methodologies is a plus.Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Sales Compensation, Incentives, or Commission structures.Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum and ITIL processes.Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Preferred SkillsExperience with ERP systems, specifically [SAP ECC or S/4HANA].Certification in Varicent preferredExperience with UI/UX validation within Varicent Web Forms.
