The Technical Accounting & Reporting team is seeking a highly qualified candidate with a solid accounting base combined with the ability to succeed and grow, particularly in a hands-on, high growth and fast-paced environment. This role will provide support to our technical accounting function as well as support other finance and accounting functions across Fullsteam. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct technical accounting research and prepare formal position papers for management review on new GAAP guidance or updates to existing topics, including revenue recognition, software capitalization, acquisition accounting, and leases. Develop and implement policies and processes to ensure compliance with new GAAP and regulatory standards. Assist with month-end accounting for ASC 842 Leases and software development capitalization. Perform functional currency assessments under GAAP for new acquisitions and document conclusions for management review. Collaborate closely with operations and other Accounting/Finance departments to ensure alignment on accounting practices. Execute month-end close tasks, including the preparation of journal entries in an accurate and timely manner. Support external auditors during interim and annual audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support related to revenue recognition practices and financial transactions. Assist in audit compliance documentation as required. Contribute to the month-end reporting process, including income statement reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and trial balance reviews. Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls, including account reconciliations and the month-end close checklist in the FloQast system. Support foreign currency analysis and reviews within NetSuite. Skills & Competencies: Well versed in GAAP Accounting and a ability to investigate and interpret accounting guidance Excellent analytical skills Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Strong oral and written communication with all levels of the organization Detail oriented, well organized, and the ability to multi-task Works best in a collaborative team environment Interpersonal skills A track record of problem solving Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and complete assignments with short deadlines Curious mind that looks for new more efficient ways to complete tasks Comfortable learning new software, tools, or ways of doing things Minimum Qualifications: 4-8 years of technical accounting experience Month-end Corporate monthly close Detailed understanding of US GAAP accounting Experience with technical accounting memo writing Experience with 842 Lease Accounting Foreign company operations – Canada and Eurozone Internal controls and process improvement Public Accounting Preferred (transaction services or audit) SaaS based software and / or the payments industry Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree with Accounting or Finance concentration MBA or CPA preferred Role is remote with the need to attend meetings periodically as needed in our Atlanta or Auburn Corporate offices.
