This role plays a critical part in maintaining stable production through tooling changeovers, mechanical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality parts while ensuring equipment reliability and uptime.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting on plastic injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipmentExecute mold and tooling changeovers, machine setup, and mechanical adjustments to meet production schedulesDiagnose and resolve processes, tooling, and mechanical issues impacting part quality and equipment uptimeConduct preventive and routine maintenance on molding presses, molds, and support equipmentInspect, clean, lubricate, and maintain molds before, during, and after production runsSupport production startups by verifying stable cycles and partnering with Quality to confirm part conformityIdentify tooling wear or potential failure risks and communicate corrective action recommendations to leadershipSafely operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as requiredMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical training in Tool & Die, Injection Molding, or Industrial Maintenance strongly preferredExperience6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in injection molding, tool & die, or an industrial maintenance environmentEquivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredKnowledge & SkillsPrior experience in a plastic injection molding or tool & die environment requiredMaintenance experience strongly preferredBasic knowledge of crane and hoist operationKnowledge of plastic resins, including drying and processing temperatures, is a plusStrong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to ensure quality parts through effective processing adjustmentsForklift experience preferredStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated with a strong sense of accountabilityReliable attendance and punctualityCore Competencies for SuccessWe Are Looking For Individuals Who DemonstrateChange Resilience – Adapts effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDrive to Growth – Seeks continuous improvement and skill developmentExecution with Excellence – Maintains high standards of safety, quality, and performanceCommunication – Works effectively with Production, Quality, and LeadershipNavigating Complexity – Diagnoses issues and prioritizes effectivelyTeam Orientation – Collaborates to support shared production goalsWorking ConditionsManufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, heat, and industrial equipmentFrequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pullingAbility to lift molds, components, and tooling (weight limits per company safety guidelines)Use of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as requiredDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
