Reporting to the Lead Director, Software Development Engineering, this manager will serve as a player-coach - providing hands-on support alongside their team while owning operational processes, vendor relationships, and service quality for our tooling portfolio.This is not a purely supervisory role. We need someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to troubleshoot a broken integration, help a user navigate a licensing issue, or dig into a ServiceNow workflow - while also being the steady leadership presence that keeps their team organized, supported, and growing.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTeam Leadership & People ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a team of 4-6 enterprise application specialists and administratorsConduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversationsFoster a collaborative, service-oriented team culture with high accountability and strong follow-throughCoordinate workloads, manage priorities, and ensure appropriate coverage across all supported platformsEnterprise Application OperationsOversee the support and administration of core enterprise platforms with a primary focus on Google Workspace, Slack, and the broader SaaS tool portfolio; contribute operational support to the Atlassian and ServiceNow environments as team needs requireAct as an escalation point for complex issues and serve as a hands-on contributor when team capacity or technical complexity demands itOwn the operational health of each platform, including uptime, user access, configuration governance, and integration integrityManage and triage a support and project queue, ensuring timely resolution of tickets and requests across all supported applicationsLicense Management & Vendor OversightLead quarterly license audits across all enterprise applications, identifying optimization opportunities and ensuring complianceTrack renewal timelines, coordinate with procurement and finance stakeholders, and maintain accurate license inventoriesServe as a primary operational contact for SaaS vendors, managing support escalations and relationship touchpoints as neededProcess Improvement & GovernanceDevelop and maintain existing standard operating procedures, runbooks, and documentation for all supported toolsIdentify inefficiencies in existing workflows and drive improvements to reduce manual effort and improve reliabilityEnsure consistent adherence to access management, change control, and security policies across the application portfolioCollaborate with the Lead Director, Software Development Engineering to communicate status, surface risks, and contribute to planning and roadmap discussionsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS3 years of experience in IT operations, enterprise application administration, or a related technical disciplineProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, distributed environmentExperience supporting SaaS-based enterprise tools and managing associated operations (onboarding, offboarding, troubleshooting, licensing)Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholdersComfort operating as an individual contributor when needed - this role requires a hands-on mindsetPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1 year of people management or team lead experience, with demonstrated ability to develop and support direct reportsHands-on administrative experience with Google Workspace and/or Slack is strongly preferred Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira / Jira Align, or Confluence is a plusFamiliarity with ITSM principles and ticketing workflows (ServiceNow or Jira experience is a strong plus)Experience conducting software license audits and managing SaaS vendor relationshipsBackground supporting internal enterprise tools within a healthcare, managed care, or similarly regulated environmentExposure to IT governance, access management, or compliance processesExperience working within organizations that are subsidiaries or divisions of larger enterprises, with a degree of operational independenceEducation: Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORThe right candidate leads by example. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
