Programmers.io is currently looking for a Sr Software EngineerOnsite Role in Oakbrook, Illinois, United StatesFULL TIME ROLE (PERMANENT)Job DescriptionWhat This Role OffersThis role offers the opportunity to establish foundational backend engineering standards and patterns while working alongside data engineers, data scientists, and frontend developers in a fast-paced innovation environment. You will work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, product managers, and other software engineers to turn business needs into robust technical solutions. This is a hands-on engineering role with clear ownership and responsibility for critical platform components.Must HaveBackend Frameworks: 5+ years experience with Node.js/Express OR Python/FastAPI OR .NET Core, or Java/Spring BootAPI Design: Expert-level RESTful API design, GraphQL experience a plusCloud Platforms: Strong Azure experience (App Service, Functions, API Management, SQL Database, Key Vault, Service Bus)Databases: Proficiency with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cosmos DB, MongoDB)CI/CD: Hands-on experience building production pipelines with automated testing and deploymentVersion Control: Git workflows, branching strategies, code review processes (Bitbucket/GitHub)If you are interested, please apply or feel free to share your updated resume at anas.khan@programmers.io
