Project Manager - III

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Project Manager - III* with a pharmaceutical company. This is a 8+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Foster City, CA. This is a hybrid position.Summary:The successful candidate will join the Research Strategy, Innovation & Portfolio Management group to manage the coordination and progression of scientific research projects. This role operates in a highly collaborative, cross-functional matrix environment, interacting with multiple stakeholders to drive research projects forward to clinical development. This position requires being onsite in the Foster City office at least 3 days per week.Responsibilities:Responsible for starting up or managing the research-based development subteamsMay help manage teams that are preparing to present their molecule at governance meetings for clinical developmentWork effectively with cross-functional project teams to build and develop the team, diagnose team health and take action to address team issuesOrganize new cross-functional project teams, define objectives and scope, identify tasks and milestones, build project schedules, identify resource needs, track execution to schedule, and manage risksSuccessfully manage multiple cross-functional tasks simultaneouslRequirements:Bachelor's degree with 7+ years or MS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a functional area scientist or project managerExperience should include participation in cross-functional project team activitiesSelf-motivated, resourceful, with high technical competence and a process-oriented mindsetClear and effective communication skillsAbility to work both collaboratively and independentlyStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams) and ZoomDesired skills:Direct experience or a strong foundation in the drug development process is preferredPay range: Up to $ 73.48 per HourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!ApTask Global Workforce (AGW)ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
