Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT Moss' Solar Staff Accountant I is responsible for performing general ledger reconciliations for Moss and other related companies, while maintaining and entering corporate-level journal entries. The Staff Accountant I collaborate across teams to ensure financial integrity and supports financial reporting efforts in a fast-paced, innovative environment.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform general ledger reconciliations for certain accounts/companiesEnter and updates corporate related journal entriesMaintain and update fixed asset recordsUpdate monthly reconciliationsPrepare interim financial statements for related companiesAssist with year-end external audit and tax returnsRespond to inquiries, assist with research as needed, participate in special projects and provide ad-hoc financial analysisAssist in the preparation of division and project budgets, including monitoring variances between budgeted and actual expendituresConduct monthly closing activities by ensuring all journal entries are posted on time and aligned with the company's financial close calendarAssist in the management of deposits, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivables, accruals, and reserves to ensure accurate financial reporting and complianceAssist in the preparation of financial statementsAssisting with monthly review and reclassification of overhead accountsPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in accounting required1-3 years of work experience in Financial Accounting departmentProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solveAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksWorks well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentHigh degree of attention to detail and ability to multi-taskConstruction industry experience is a plus, but not requiredJOB TITLE:SOLAR STAFF ACCOUNTANT I JOB LOCATION:FORT LAUDERDALE, FL CLASSIFICATION:FULL TIME - EXEMPT - SALARIED REPORTS TO:SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANTMossis an equal opportunity employer.
