Kinsa is recruiting for a: Production Scheduling ManagerLocation: Long Island, NY (Onsite)Our client has been making a variety of premium chocolate products since the 1970s. Using ethically sourced, sustainable ingredients, they are best known for their Belgian chocolate treats. They are looking to add a Production Scheduling Manager to their team in Long Island, NY. You will lead planning and scheduling for a fast-paced, multi-line manufacturing facility in Long Island, NY, managing daily and long-range schedules across multiple lines and shifts while balancing demand, labor, inventory, capacity, and seasonal peaks.5+ years of demand planning for complex production of multiple CPG products. Strong ERP/MRP experience,Compensation & Benefits:$85-90k base salaryMedical, Dental, Vision, Life insurancePTO & holiday pay401(k)Key Responsibilities and Goals:Lead end-to-end production scheduling for multiple manufacturing and packaging lines across shifts, creating daily, weekly, and seasonal plans that meet demand and on-time delivery goals.Balance capacity, labor, materials, and machine uptime while adjusting schedules in real time to address downtime, staffing gaps, urgent orders, supply issues, and seasonal surges.Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to align schedules, materials, and deliveries and keep production running smoothly.Forecast capacity needs, identify bottlenecks, and develop contingency plans to reduce disruptions and support peak demand, holidays, promotions, and specialty runs.Monitor inventory, analyze schedule adherence, downtime, efficiency, and throughput data, and drive continuous improvement in labor use, production flow, waste reduction, and service levels.Maintain accurate ERP/MRP scheduling data and production records, support SOP and process improvements, and serve as the primary scheduling contact in daily production meetings with plant leadership and supervisors.Support and mentor planning and scheduling staff as needed.Competencies Needed for Success:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred. APICS/CPIM certification preferred.5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturing, confectionery, CPG, or another high-speed production environment.Strong knowledge of multi-line, multi-shift manufacturing operations and experience managing schedules in fast-paced, changing environments.Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel, with strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Experience with seasonal manufacturing demand cycles, knowledge of food safety and GMP environments.Referrals are our best source for the top talent our clients need so if you know of anyone with these skills in the food and beverage industry, please pass me their name and email/phone number, or share this job posting with them.
