The mechanical engineer will be responsible for developing, design new equipment and troubleshooting, enhance existing machinery, maintaining drawings and documentation. The Mechanical Engineer working side by side with the Production and Maintenance team will be the subject matter expert of Site Technology for assigned shop floor areas.deThis role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.ResponsibilitiesMechanical Engineer Responsibilities:Supports Maintenance personnel with engineering and technical knowledge to assist in trouble shooting, repairs, training.New Equipment Feasibility Analysis.Uses AutoCAD/Siemens NX (3D program) or similar to develop concepts and designs for development of machine improvements.Communicates orally and in writing with personnel at all levels regarding the technical details of new and existing machines. Such communication may include, but is not limited to: Analysis of machines, assemblies and component drawings and sketches that conform to drawing standards.Inspects and acts on supplier-delivered materials/equipment that are out of specification.Is instrumental in cost avoidance and cost reduction activities.Assists maintenance in providing engineering information by answering questions and requests.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.On-call status required when needed during times of emergencies or adverse conditionsMechanical Engineer Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or Associates degree from a technical school with three years of related experience and/or training.At least 5 years in Mechanical Engineering and/or Maintenance departmentExperience in mechanical design and development.Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft OfficeAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment - strong ability to multitask complex projects efficiently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong work ethic, ability to work collaboratively, energetic and goal-oriented.Knowledge of Auto CAD, Siemens NX (3D Software) or similar.QualificationsJoining Wieland's team gives you...Benefits - Starting on Day 1!
