DFW Movers & Erectors is looking for an experienced Industrial Rigging / Millwright Foreman in our Katy location who’s ready to build trust, deliver results, and help move the things that make your world.As a Foreman, you will lead from the front - working alongside your team while guiding, coaching, and training team members to perform at their best. Your day-to-day work will center on managing rigging and millwright operations, setting clear expectations, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be hands-on in the field, making sure equipment is used properly, workflows are followed, and team members have the support they need to succeed.This role is more than just supervision - it’s about building strong teams, developing people, and keeping operations running smoothly. You’ll serve as the connection between field staff, operations management, and sales, helping to bridge planning with execution while addressing challenges as they arise. Bottom line: Build an effective and highly reputable companyTrain, assign, schedule, coach, and counsel employeesCommunicate job expectations to field personnel; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions while enforcing company policies and proceduresAssist with forecasting field staff and equipment requirementsRecommend improvements to operations processes to effectively complete contracted work; implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures; assist with development of processes for staff and equipment utilizationProactively work with sales personnel to ensure complete and accurate pre-planning and execution of jobs; provide feedback to sales personnel and the general manager when the actual job requirements conflict with quoted workMaintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulationsUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publicationsRun a safe, injury/accident-free workplaceServe as secondary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and incidentsCommunicate customer issues with the general manager and recommend ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaintsInform the general manager on all matters of importance and material in natureCommunicate all operating policies and/or issues at operations meetingsEnsure all operations functions and processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations by working closely with the Safety and Operations Managers QualificationsAt least five years of strong operational experience, construction or related field; rigging and/or material handling experience preferredExcellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic team and lead to successful outcomes; ability to build consensus and relationships among foremen, leadmen and employeesStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsPossess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to our corporate missionFlexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systemsAn analytical mind, comfortable with numbersDemonstrated proficiency in project managementValid driver’s license, CDL preferredProficient in construction, mechanical, and trade-related English (written & spoken) requiredDFW Movers & Erectors, Inc. is an industrial moving company specialized in rigging, crating, moving, erecting, painting, and warehousing of heavy machinery throughout Texas since 1980.
