Social Worker - Primary Care Mental Health Integration (Women's Health)

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UUTotal Rewards - Total Rewards of a Allied Health ProfessionalThe Primary Care Mental Health Integration (Women's Health) Social Worker provides comprehensive behavioral health services to Veterans within a multidisciplinary mental health program in both medical center and outpatient settings. The incumbent conducts psychosocial assessments, delivers evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and provides case management and care coordination for Veterans with a wide range of mental health and psychosocial needs. The Social Worker collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to ensure continuity of care, promotes recovery-oriented treatment, and supports program initiatives to improve clinical outcomes and Veteran well-being. Duties include but are not limitied to:Conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnoses mental health conditions based on clinical evaluation.Provides evidence-based individual, group, and family psychotherapy using recovery-oriented approaches.Develops, implements, and documents individualized treatment plans in collaboration with Veterans and interdisciplinary teams.Provides consultation to VA staff and community providers regarding clinical findings and treatment recommendations.Coordinates care and facilitates communication among medical staff, mental health providers, Veterans, families, and caregivers.Performs case management, outreach, and screening to identify Veterans in need of services.Conducts crisis intervention and risk assessments, including management of psychiatric emergencies.Documents clinical services, assessments, and interventions in accordance with VA policies and standards.Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, treatment planning, and case conferences.Provides education to Veterans, families, and staff on mental health conditions, treatment options, and recovery principles.Supports program development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.May provide supervision or training to students or trainees, as appropriate.Performs administrative duties, including scheduling, reporting, and participation in meetings, committees, and program activities.Maintains compliance with documentation standards, performance measures, and regulatory requirements.Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMRecruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not AuthorizedPermanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not AuthorizedEDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year).
