Engineering Change Specialist

Full-time DescriptionAmerican Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for an Engineering Change Specialist for our Findlay, Ohio location (may consider hybrid or remote work). This position will report to the Director of Project Management.The Engineering Change Specialist is responsible for overseeing the process of documenting, assessing and implementing the engineering change process. This role will work closely with cross functional teams to maintain.ResponsibilitiesManage the entire engineering change process from initiation to closure ensuring accuracy and completenessAct as a primary liaison between all departments to align on change implementationProactively identify potential risks, blockers and bottlenecks in the implementation processFacilitate the change meetings to evaluate impacts on cost, quality and schedulingCreate, monitor and report out on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) showing the effectiveness of the change processTechnical documentation experience and revision controlMaintain accurate data within the engineering change systemEffectively communicate the changes to the organizationConduct training on the change process to employeesProactively review and recommend ways to improve the change processMaintain Engineering Change Logs and documentationSupport audits of the document control process as required (FCCA, ISO, etc.).All other duties as assignedSkills And Personal AttributesAbility to lead a cross-functional team of people and hold them accountableStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with a wide variety of functions and management levelsResults orientatedDemonstrated sense of urgencyStrong problem-solving skillsCan Do AttitudeEffectively works with changing priorities and follow up on tasks and assignmentsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in technical field or relevant work experience1-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing role including quality, engineering or change managementUnderstanding business processes including product development, manufacturing processes and bill of materials (BOM)Experience in injection molding is a plus Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct reports Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skillsStrong working knowledge of MS Office Suite Proven ability to manage project timelines and facilitate cross functional teams Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and reduce resistance to change At least 18 years of age.
