Telecom Technician - Interview Next Week!

*Location:* Oahu (various customer sites; daily start/end varies by assignment) *Schedule:* Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM *Top Skills & Requirements* * Interest in learning the telecom trade (Layer 1: fiber, Cat5/Cat6). Training provided for candidates without prior experience. * Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs (heavy/awkward ladders, tools, equipment). * Must pass a drug test and have a valid driver's license. *Job Description* * Splice fiber optic cables (loose tube and ribbon). * Build and install splice cases including grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing. * Read work orders, cut sheets, engineering drawings, and follow task sequences. * Follow BICSI and industry standards on all telecom installations. * Interpret aerial and underground telecom facilities and provide recommendations for route changes. * Maintain accurate inside/outside plant documentation. * Support engineering, permitting, and construction teams as needed. * Perform routine maintenance and repair route issues (hand hole cleanup, signage, etc.). * Install and connect cables to terminals, hardware, buildings, and poles. * Participate in emergency and outage response requiring construction capabilities. * Ensure all work is compliant with safety standards and public safety requirements. * Work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Complete daily production reports and asbuilt documentation. *Employee Value Proposition* * Opportunity to join a growing telecom team serving major commercial and government customers. * Clear growth pathway into roles like Project Manager upon proving performance. * Contracttohire model with salary renegotiation upon conversion. * Eligible for *Secret Clearance* after conversion. *Business Drivers / Impact* * Role supports major Hawaii telecom infrastructure upgrades, including new middlemile fiber routes critical for island connectivity. *Job Type & Location* *This is a Permanent position based out of Kapolei, HI.* *Job Type & Location*This is a Permanent position based out of Kapolei, HI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $47840.00/yr. bristol benefits -- 2026 bristol benefits *Workplace Type*This is a fully onsite position in Kapolei,HI. *Application Deadline*This position is anticipated to close on Apr 7, 2026. h4>About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
