Vice President, Technical Accounting and Financial ReportingNew York City | Hybrid$130,000–$150,000 base plus bonusWe’re leading a VP-level search with a global alternative asset manager based in New York City.This role is a centralized and highly visible seat that provides cross-platform exposure across the firm’s credit and real estate investment strategies. Unlike a traditional fund accounting VP role, this position is not dedicated to a single vehicle. You’ll serve as the primary accounting policy point person across multiple teams and play a leading role in SEC reporting consistency and platform-wide disclosure processes.Responsibilities:Managing and mentoring a direct-report Associate across all reporting deliverablesServing as central coordination point for financial reporting across platform finance teams, FP&A, and the public company (SEC) reporting functionsLeading accounting research and advising firm leadership on non-routine transactions and new accounting pronouncementsOwning complex variance analysis and reporting metrics for the public company and FP&A teamsLiaising with third-party administrators to improve data integration and reporting infrastructureDriving evaluation and implementation of automation tools including Alteryx and Power BIChampioning AI tool integration to enhance predictive analysis and reduce manual oversightQualifications:5–7 years in public accounting, Big 4 requiredCPA requiredDirect experience with alternative fund structuresStrong SEC reporting and public company financial disclosure experienceDeep working knowledge of complex fund concepts: fee structures, leverage facilities, NAV, operating metricsProven experience managing or mentoring junior staffAlteryx, Power BI, or Advent Geneva experience is a significant plusFamiliarity with AI tools and their application in finance preferred
