Technical Support to Sales | Remote
About UsGRT Corporation is a Stamford, CT-based technology company developing a SaaS + edge-device platform to commercial applications worldwide. We’re a fast-moving team where early hires shape the product and the company. The RoleThis is a Technical Support to Sales role. What we need is an electrical engineer who can be the technical voice in front of customers. You’ll be the technical backbone of our sales team — joining discovery calls with technical directors and chief engineers, answering deep questions about three-phase power systems, motor drives, FFT spectral analysis, and signal processing in real time. You’ll demonstrate the platform, write the technical sections of proposals, and support pilot installations aboard vessels. The single most important qualification is a demonstrated understanding of the physics behind ESA.Engagement ModelContract-to-hire. We start with a 3–6 month paid contract engagement to validate fit on both sides. Conversion to full-time employment with equity follows demonstrated performance — measured by your ability to lead technical discussions independently, support proposal wins, and earn customer credibility. What You’ll Do• Lead the technical portion of discovery and qualification calls• Demonstrate the PowerLink SaaS platform: real-time monitoring, FFT spectrum analysis, Digital Twin predictive maintenance, and alerting• Lead technical discussions on architecture — explain ESA, motor current/voltage signature analysis, fire-precursor thermal and electrical signatures, and how the two work together on a vessel• Write the technical sections of proposals and SOWs (system architecture, sensor specs, installation methodology, compliance posture, acceptance criteria)• Support pilot installations aboard vessels — guide CT placement, node mounting, edge gateway configuration, and data validation• Create technical white papers, application notes, FAQs, and competitive differentiation content• Serve as the field-to-engineering feedback loopWhat You Bring (Required)• BSEE required; MSEE in power systems, signal processing, or controls preferred• Demonstrated understanding of the physics behind ESA — three-phase power systems, motor theory, fault-specific signature physics, and the FFT/sigma-delta signal chain that makes ESA work• Ability to lead a real-time technical discussion with senior engineering audiences• Comfort with embedded hardware concepts (ARM Cortex-M, SPI/I²C, schematic and BOM reading)• Strong English communication; comfort presenting to multi-stakeholder customer teamsNice to Have• Shipboard exposure — marine engineering officer, electrical officer, fleet superintendent, or classification society time• Marine electrical systems familiarity (switchboards, ACB/VCB, emergency switchboard, marine UPS/battery, marine power-electronics PCBs)• Maritime regulatory familiarity (DNV GL, SOLAS, PSC inspections, classification society survey workflows)• ATEX/IECEx hazardous area knowledge (Oil & Gas crossover)• Italian, Greek, or Mandarin #IoT #ElectricalEngineering #Maritime #PredictiveMaintenance #ContractToHire #Startup #ESA #EdgeComputing #ShipTech
