We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Learning Aides who are passionate about supporting children's growth and development while creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
Position Summary
The Learning Aide provides daily classroom support by assisting the Lead Learning Guide with implementing engaging learning experiences, maintaining classroom routines, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of every child. This position plays an important role in creating a positive environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to learn through exploration and play.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with daily classroom routines and transitions.
Support children during learning activities, meals, toileting, diapering, rest time, and outdoor play.
Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, independence, and social-emotional development through positive interactions.
Prepare classroom materials and learning centers as directed.
Supervise children and maintain active engagement throughout the day.
Maintain classroom cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with licensing requirements.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
Follow all Maryland Office of Child Care regulations and The Learning Den policies.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Education & Experience
Candidates must meet Maryland Office of Child Care qualifications for an Aide.
Experience working with young children
High school diploma or equivalent
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
