Design and document telecommunications systems for advanced facilities, including Outside Plant (OSP), backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired and wireless device plans, and cable schedules.Use Revit (and occasionally AutoCAD) to create fully coordinated 3D BIM models across all design disciplines (C, S, A, M, E, P, T, I, L).Produce 2D construction drawings and ensure designs meet NEC, TIA, and other industry standards.Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers to deliver accurate, constructible solutions.Gain opportunities to lead portions of design work with oversight, expanding your technical and leadership skills.What We're Looking For:

Bring your curiosity, talent for multitasking and collaboration, and extreme organizational skills and we will help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what drives you — so we can make big impacts on the world, together.QualificationsTwo‑year technical degree or four‑year non‑technical degreeAt least 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction industryKnowledge and application of BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) design practicesKnowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) as applicable to telecommunications design requirementsKnowledge and application of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standardsExperience leading telecommunications design teamKnowledge of design and construction specificationsExperience estimating and scheduling small to medium sized projectsIdeally, You'll Also Have:Associate or Bachelor's degreeAt least 3 years of telecommunications design experience for semiconductor, data center, or advanced manufacturing facilitiesWorking knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platformsKnowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audiovisual systemsKnowledge and design experience with life safety and security systemsKnowledge of control systems and network topologyOne or more of the following certifications: RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer), DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant), OSP (Outside Plant) or RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager)Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
