Your expertise ensures the successful completion of complex projects while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. The Laborer will complete general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. What you'll doYou will dig using hand shovel and mechanical toolsYou will install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cablingYou will climb in and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)You will operate or work around heavy equipment and machineryYou will work in congested or remote areasYou will maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movementYou will perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/SupervisorYou will maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies.Intermediate-level support with greater responsibility, troubleshooting, and operational tasks, all while working under general supervision and following standard policies and procedures.Resolves routine issues while escalating more complex problems.Provide support to small workgroups to meet project goals on time and follow safety standardsComplete and verify detailed production reports to maintain accurate project recordsAssist with site restoration efforts, including final grading and landscaping, to meet client expectationsTrain and mentor Level I and II laborers to improve their skills and knowledgePerform other duties as assignedWhat you'll needTo be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience3-5 years of experience in underground telecommunications construction or a related fieldAdvanced knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenanceAbility to interpret blueprints, job plans, and technical specificationsStrong ability to work independently and provide support in team environmentsWillingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as neededAbility to work safely in all weather conditionsEffective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsPhysical abilities & exposuresRoutinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 poundsOccasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse Physical & Safety Requirements and the Working Environment:(The physical duties outlined below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
