Circuit Card Design Engineer
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Circuit Card Design Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.The Circuit Card Design Engineer will support circuit card architecture, schematic capture, EPCAD layout, integration, testing, and Design Assurance activities for a mission-critical defense program. This role works closely with electrical and cross-functional engineering teams to develop circuit card assemblies, flexprints, and cable harnesses while supporting requirements, bill of materials, part sourcing, troubleshooting, and design implementation.Required SkillsBachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.3+ years of professional engineering experience.Experience with circuit card design, integration, and test.Experience developing and refining system requirements, including performance, interface, and environmental requirements.Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent schematic capture tool.Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent circuit simulation and analysis tool.Ability to support circuit card architecture, schematic capture, and EPCAD layout.Ability to work with electrical engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve integration and interface challenges.Ability to define, refine, and document system, performance, and interface requirements.Ability to support development of multiple circuit card assemblies.Ability to manage bill of materials, part sourcing, and build-up activities.Experience with electrical connector part selection and cable routing layouts.Ability to support failure investigations, troubleshooting, and technical direction.Strong communication skills.Self-motivated, team-oriented approach.Ability to make informed decisions with minimal direction.Ability to take project ownership from concept through implementation.Preferred SkillsExperience with MFC circuit card design processes.Experience with military standards and specifications, including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704.Experience with Xilinx UltraScale FPGAs.Experience with circuit card assemblies, flexprints, cable harnesses, electrical integration, schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit simulation, BOM management, connector selection, cable routing, Design Assurance, and defense electronics.What You'll DoDrive circuit card architecture, schematic capture, and EPCAD layout activities.Support development of circuit card assemblies, flexprints, and cable harnesses.Work with electrical engineering and cross-functional teams to address integration and interface challenges.Define, refine, and document system, performance, and interface requirements.Manage bills of material, part sourcing, and build-up activities.Support electrical connector part selection and cable routing layouts.Help accelerate design, procurement, and testing activities.Shepherd designs through the Design Assurance process.Evaluate and troubleshoot hardware issues.Provide technical direction for failure investigations.Take ownership of assigned design work from concept through implementation.Work Schedule / ShiftHybrid role based in Grand Prairie, TX.Required onsite 3 days per week.Core onsite days are Tuesday and Wednesday.Flexible work-from-home days may include Monday or Thursday, depending on program needs.Job ID: 21588Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
