A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with rotating start times: 6:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 11:00 AM • Monday through Friday schedule with variable weekend coverage • 2 years of experience required (1 year accepted if Level 1 trauma facility experience) • Must have scrub experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures • Circulating experience required • BSN preferred • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • On-call responsibilities: 3-4 weekday and 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule (as needed based on unit needs) • Must respond within 40 minutes from call to clock-in for emergency cases • Float within service line as needed • Handle cardiac and thoracic cases primarily • Perform vascular procedures (open and endovascular), transplant procedures (liver, kidney, pancreas), and Whipple procedures • Work with adult patient population in a 16-room unit • Experience with heart and lung transplants required for night shift • Must enter missing instruments into CensiTrac system • Navy scrubs required • EPIC charting system experience preferred • Work in high-acuity environment handling urgent emergent cases • Level 1 trauma facility experience required • Holiday coverage as needed (discussed in advance) Facility: This short-term acute care facility is a major teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma center with 1,266 staffed beds, serving as the highest level of care in the region.
