In this role you will architect, deploy, and operate Apex’s cloud infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure. You’ll collaborate with software, security, and IT leadership to define standards, optimize spend, and deliver platform capabilities that accelerate cloud adoption. ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS GovCloud and AzureCreate secure, scalable cloud environments using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaSDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or similar toolsAutomate provisioning, configuration, deployments, monitoring, and operationsDevelop automation scripts using Python or similar languagesTroubleshoot complex cloud issues to determine root cause and implement resolutionsMonitor performance, availability, security, and reliability of cloud environmentsDesign and maintain cloud networking (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs, firewalls, security groups)Implement cloud security, identity, access controls, encryption, backup, and disaster recoveryLead or participate in cloud infrastructure projects from design to deploymentCreate and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standardsCollaborate with Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer on cloud solutions
Key requirementsIn-depth knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaSHands-on experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft AzureProven ability to build cloud environments from scratch, especially in AWS GovCloudStrong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, security, identity, storage, compute, monitoring, backup, and DRAdvanced IaC experience, Terraform strongly preferred; CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi are beneficialStrong automation and scripting skills (Python or similar)Understanding of CI/CD, version control, and DevOps practicesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong technical documentation and communication skills5–7 years in cloud infrastructure/DevOps or related field3+ years hands-on AWS and/or Azure (AWS GovCloud preferred)strong communicationproblem-solvingcollaborationAWS GovCloudMicrosoft AzureTerraform
