This role is based in our Boston, MA office, supporting major building programs across the region. You'll guide teams through all phases of design and construction-ensuring solutions that support our clients' missions and create meaningful impact within the communities we serve.What You'll DoLead the planning, design, and delivery of large architectural building and interior fit-out projects from concept through occupancyManage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across all phases of design and constructionServe as the primary client liaison, ensuring alignment of expectations, clear communication, and strong client satisfactionDirect and coordinate multidisciplinary teams-including architects, engineers, planners, interior designers, consultants, and construction partnersOversee design development, technical documentation, regulatory compliance, zoning, and permittingDevelop project execution strategies, fee estimates, staffing plans, work plans, and resource allocationsFacilitate design charrettes, stakeholder workshops, user engagement sessions, and major decision-making processesLead contract administration activities including RFIs, submittals, change management, and construction-phase coordinationEnsure adherence to Jacobs' quality, safety, and risk management standardsSupport business development initiatives through proposals, interviews, and client presentationsMentor and coach early-career professionals supporting the project teamHere's what you'll needProfessional degree in Architecture12+ years of experience managing large-scale architecture or building programsStrong technical understanding of design, building codes, permitting, and construction processesProven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contracts on complex, multidisciplinary projectsAbility to lead client engagement and facilitate decision-making throughout all project phasesProficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Bluebeam) and familiarity with BIM/Revit workflowsIdeally, You'll Also HaveArchitecture license (RA), LEED AP, or similar credentialExperience delivering large projects in key sectors including life sciences, higher education, healthcare, government/civic, transportation, or commercial developmentExperience with laboratory or research facilities (a strong advantage in the Boston market)Knowledge of a variety of design and construction delivery methods, including design-build, CM-at-risk, progressive design-build, and integrated project delivery methodsStrong facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skillsPrevious experience working in a large firm design or consulting environmentPosted Salary Range: Minimum154,700.00Posted Salary Range: Upper212,700.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
