Tool and Die Machinist

Job Description Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Tool & Die Machinist for immediate hire in Ventura, CA.Join a precision manufacturing team working on custom tooling, dies, and fixtures in a clean, organized shop. This is a long-term opportunity with steady hours and the ability to work on high-level machining projects alongside experienced professionals.· PAY: $26–$42/hr (based on experience)· HOURS: Expected shifts will be 8-hour days starting at 7:00 AM· SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday; approximately 40 hours/week· START DATE: ASAP· DURATION: This is anticipated to be a long-term, full-time positionTool & Die Machinist Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Machinist to design, build, modify, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, and special tooling used in precision manufacturing. This role involves manual machining, working with CNC equipment, reading complex blueprints and GD&T, and supporting production through tooling development, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Qualifications for Tool & Die Machinist:· 3+ years of Tool & Die or precision machining experience· Proficiency operating manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses)· Working knowledge of CNC machining operations (mills and lathes)· Strong ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T· Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, comparators)· Knowledge of tool steels, heat treatment, and machining processes· Strong shop math skills (geometry, trigonometry, tolerances)· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects· Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE· Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted· Position requires the use of PPE including: steel toe boots and safety gearAdditional Requirements for Tool & Die Machinist:· Must be eligible to work in the United States· Must have reliable transportation to the job site· May be subject to pre-employment drug screen and background checkSST IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER!Hablamos Español!
