Full-time Tool & MachinistWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Tool & Die Maker to join our top-tier manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional proficiency in set-up, tool repair, and conventional machining. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our manufacturing capabilities, ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet stringent industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, fabricate, modify, and repair a wide range of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in manufacturing processesSet up and operate various conventional machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill pressesInterpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce precision tools and diesPerform preventive maintenance on tools, dies, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevityTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with tools and dies, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtimeCollaborate with engineers, production staff, and quality control teams to improve manufacturing processes and product qualityEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standardsMaintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance, repairs, and modificationsTrain and mentor junior tool and die makers, sharing knowledge and best practicesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing processStay updated on the latest advancements in tool and die making techniques and technologiesQualifications and SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in tool and die making preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker or related manufacturing industriesExtensive knowledge of materials, metallurgy, and heat treatment processes used in manufacturingProficient in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsExpert-level skills in operating conventional machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill pressesStrong understanding of precision measurement techniques and tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM)Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is a plusExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenPhysical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsWillingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends as needed
