Our work ranges from early product discovery and architecture through production delivery, modernization, and ongoing technical support.Learn more at seoptimizes.org.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced technical leader to work alongside our internal CTO and take a senior, client-facing leadership role across selected accounts.This is a high-trust position for someone who can operate comfortably between business strategy and software engineering. You will work directly with founders, executives, product leaders, and engineering teams to clarify priorities, guide technical decisions, manage delivery expectations, and keep projects aligned with business goals.You will often serve as the senior technical representative of Seoptimizes in client conversations. That means leading discovery sessions, advising on architecture and product direction, identifying delivery risks, helping stakeholders make informed trade-offs, and translating technical complexity into clear business decisions.This role is well suited to an experienced engineering leader who enjoys consulting and client advisory work but does not want a full-time executive position.What You'll Do- Lead technical discovery, roadmap discussions, architecture reviews, and executive stakeholder conversations.- Partner with the Seoptimizes CTO and take ownership of technical leadership for assigned client accounts.- Clarify business objectives, product requirements, scope, constraints, success criteria, dependencies, and technical risks.- Guide architecture and technology decisions across web, mobile, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data, integrations, security, and AI-enabled products.- Advise clients on practical trade-offs involving architecture, build vs. buy decisions, scalability, security, delivery speed, technical debt, and cost.- Translate business requirements into actionable engineering work, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, milestones, and technical requirements.- Establish realistic delivery expectations and communicate changes, blockers, dependencies, and risks early.- Facilitate decisions when business priorities, engineering constraints, timelines, and budgets compete.- Produce clear client-facing documentation, including meeting notes, decision logs, action items, technical recommendations, and executive status updates.- Work closely with engineering teams to maintain alignment between what was agreed with the client and what is being delivered.- Improve delivery practices across discovery, planning, development, release, and post-launch support without introducing unnecessary process.- Support technical escalations and help resolve difficult delivery or stakeholder issues.- Identify opportunities where additional engineering, cloud, security, analytics, mobile, performance, or AI capabilities could create value for clients.- Participate in light technical pre-sales, solution scoping, and expansion discussions when appropriate.- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and become a trusted technical advisor for important accounts.What We're Looking For- 5+ years of experience in senior software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership roles such as Tech Lead, Software Architect, Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, CTO, or technical leader.- Strong hands-on understanding of modern software engineering and product delivery.- Broad technical knowledge across web applications, mobile products, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, integrations, data systems, security, and AI-enabled software.- Strong architecture judgment and the ability to evaluate technical decisions in the context of business goals, timelines, budgets, and long-term maintainability.- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into clear technical plans and engineering execution.- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with founders, executives, product teams, engineers, and non-technical decision-makers.- Native-level or highly fluent professional English, both spoken and written.- Confidence leading client calls and communicating with US-based executive stakeholders.- Strong organization and follow-through. You document decisions, track commitments, surface risks early, and close communication loops.- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal oversight.- Availability for client meetings across US time zones when required.Nice to Have- Experience working directly with US-based clients or enterprise stakeholders.- Previous experience in technology consulting, pre-sales, solutions architecture, customer success, or technical account leadership.- Experience with FinTech, eCommerce, SaaS, or AI-enabled products.- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern cloud-native architecture.- Working knowledge of security, data privacy, SOC 2, and other compliance expectations relevant to production software.- Experience helping teams recover projects that have unclear requirements, architecture issues, delivery risks, or stakeholder misalignment.Time & ScheduleThis is a part-time contractor role, typically requiring approximately 4–5 hours per week, although hours may vary depending on active client engagements.The schedule is flexible, but you must be available for scheduled client and stakeholder calls during US business hours when needed.The role is fully remote.Why Join Seoptimizes?This is a senior, high-trust role with meaningful influence over client relationships and technical delivery.
