Assistant Dance Teacher

Overview Join our highly esteemed dance education team as an Assistant Dance Teacher. You will support highly experienced lead instructors in delivering engaging dance lessons that foster creativity, confidence, and technical skill. Duties Assist lead dance instructors in executing engaging lesson plans across various dance styles such as ballet, contemporary and modern. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for students of all skill levels. Help supervise students during classes, ensuring proper behavior management and positive reinforcement. Provide individual or small-group tutoring to reinforce technique, choreography, or early childhood development concepts. Support special education needs by adapting lessons and activities to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Assist with event preparations including rehearsals, performances, and community outreach activities related to dance education. Experience Prior experience working with children or in early childhood education settings is highly desirable. Extensive dance background as a dancer. Teaching or assisting experience preferred. Familiarity with classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement among students. Skills in photography or videography are a plus for collecting content for social and marketing platforms. Ability to take direction and also anticipate needs of lead instructors & classroom as a self-starter. Background in ballet or other classical dance forms; additional skills like sewing, prop production/design, marketing, organization, etc. can be utilized.
