Location: Endicott, NYJob DescriptionLooking for an Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in Power Electronics design for aerospace flight control systems, engine control systems, cabin systems, and ground vehicle drive systems.Responsibilities IncludeDesign of DC/DC and AC/DC high-reliability power electronics (20W–500W range)Circuit design including part selection, schematic capture, PWB support, simulation, analysis, and verification testingMandatory SkillsBSEE or equivalent technical degree12+ years of power conversion design experienceExperience with converter topologies such as Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, Push-Pull, Half-Bridge, Cuk, Sepic, etc.Magnetics design experienceStrong knowledge of MOSFETs, Schottky Diodes, IGBTsControl loop analysisExperience with PSPICE, MathCadExperience with DC/DC converters, motor drives, gate drives, analog circuitry, and magneticsStrong team collaboration skills and self-driven attitudePreferred SkillsHigh-power converter/motor drive design up to 500kW and 1000V+ DC link voltagesSynchronous rectification, multi-phase converters, resonant/current-fed convertersRadiation hardened / SEE immune designMIL-STD-704 and RTCA/DO-160 experienceFull lifecycle development experienceSoftware/Firmware controlled power systemsEMI filtering and lightning protectionDigital design/embedded control experience
