Apply via Dice today!Position : Power Supply Design EngineerLocation: Endicott, NYFulltime Job Description:Looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in Power Electronics design for aerospace flight control systems, engine control systems, cabin systems, and ground vehicle drive systems.Responsibilities include:Design of DC/DC and AC/DC high-reliability power electronics (20W 500W range)Circuit design including part selection, schematic capture, PWB support, simulation, analysis, and verification testingMandatory Skills:BSEE or equivalent technical degree12+ years of power conversion design experienceExperience with converter topologies such as Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, Push-Pull, Half-Bridge, Cuk, Sepic, etc.Magnetics design experienceStrong knowledge of MOSFETs, Schottky Diodes, IGBTsControl loop analysisExperience with PSPICE, MathCadExperience with DC/DC converters, motor drives, gate drives, analog circuitry, and magneticsStrong team collaboration skills and self-driven attitudePreferred Skills:High-power converter/motor drive design up to 500kW and 1000V+ DC link voltagesSynchronous rectification, multi-phase converters, resonant/current-fed convertersRadiation hardened / SEE immune designMIL-STD-704 and RTCA/DO-160 experienceFull lifecycle development experienceSoftware/Firmware controlled power systemsEMI filtering and lightning protectionDigital design/embedded control experience
