Automation Control Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTIONThis role will serve as a technical and project leadership function supporting large-scale automation and engineering initiatives within a highly complex manufacturing environment. This individual will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing oversight across system design, development, and implementation while ensuring alignment to business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include driving project execution across scope, cost, and timeline; guiding technical direction for automation systems, control architectures, and equipment design; and collaborating with global teams to support system integration and development roadmaps. This person will also play a key role in mentoring and developing engineering talent, assigning project work based on business priorities, and supporting ongoing manufacturing operations through troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and validation efforts. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring a leader who can navigate ambiguity, solve complex technical challenges, and drive results across both engineering and operational teams. The company will cover relocation costs for the right candidate.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• Strong PLC/controls experience (Siemens and/or Beckhoff)• Experience integrating industrial systems (OPC UA / controls communication)• Background in automation + mechatronics (controls + mechanical together)• Proven experience owning/leading hardware + software integration for customer solutions Ability to work in a manufacturing/automation environment (hands-on systems)NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• Experience with robotics / material handling / warehouse automation • Exposure to industrial networking / SCADA / HMI architecture • Experience in design + commissioning of systems Background from Siemens / integrators / OEM automation companies
