As a provider of engineering and computer systems design services, Bright IA supports clients in optimizing processes, enhancing KPIs, and unlocking business potential.Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Controls and Robotics Engineers roles based in Fort Worth, TX. In this position, you will design, program, test, and commission control systems for manufacturing applications, including PLCs, HMIs, motion control, vision systems, and industrial networks. You will develop and integrate robotic systems (collaborative, SCARA, industrial, and AMR) for automated cells, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Daily responsibilities include creating and reviewing electrical and control schematics, writing and debugging control and robotic code, performing system integration on the plant floor, and supporting equipment startup and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to define requirements, document solutions, train end users, and continuously improve system performance and data visibility.QualificationsStrong robotics skills, including experience with collaborative, SCARA, and industrial robots, as well as robot programming and integration.Solid analytical skills for system design, diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization of control and robotic systems.Experience with process automation, including PLC/HMI programming, motion control, sensors, and integration with plant floor equipment.Effective communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and customers, including clear technical documentation and training.Software development experience relevant to automation (e.g., structured text, ladder logic, function block, scripting, or high-level languages used in industrial applications).Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Familiarity with industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA, MQTT), SCADA/MES/OEE systems, and safety standards is highly beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Fort Worth, TX, support occasional travel to customer facilities, and contribute effectively in a hands-on, manufacturing environment.
