They also process payments, handle credit transactions, and enforce policies and regulations, such as not serving alcoholic drinks to minors.ESSENTIAL DUTIESProvide courteous, efficient, and professional beverage service in accordance with banquet and company hospitality standardsExecute beverage service efficiently to support event timelines and minimize guest wait timesMaintain awareness of event flow including meal service, speeches, entertainment, and program transitionsAnticipate guest needs and respond promptly to beverage requestsMaintain composure and service quality during high-volume service periodsAddress guest concerns professionally and escalate service issues to banquet leadership as appropriateMaintain thorough knowledge of banquet beverage menus including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic offeringsUnderstand standard drink recipes, preparation techniques, and appropriate glassware usageReview banquet event orders (BEOs) to understand hosted bars, cash bars, specialty cocktails, and service timelinesBe knowledgeable of event-specific beverage limitations, consumption packages, and service expectationsSet up banquet bar stations according to event specifications including stocking alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and service toolsEnsure bar presentation meets company standards for cleanliness, organization, and brand imagePrepare drinks consistently according to standardized recipes and portion guidelinesEnsure proper garnish, glassware, and presentation standards are maintainedCoordinate with banquet servers and captains to support overall event beverage flowFollow all alcohol service laws, company policies, and safety proceduresMonitor guest alcohol consumption and take appropriate action to support responsible serviceMaintain punctual attendance, proper uniform standards, and professional demeanorDemonstrate teamwork and flexibility to support changing event demandsBreak down bar stations following event completion including removal of supplies, glassware, and equipmentClean and sanitize bar areas and return inventory to designated storage locationsAssist with waste disposal, recycling, and overall event space restorationReconcile sales or consumption records as required for cash bars or inventory trackingPerform additional duties as assigned by Banquet Captain, Lead Bartender, or Banquet ManagerThis job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities and is not intended to be an inclusive list of job tasks and expectations. Class 12 or 13 Permit (Washington state serving license)Must hold a valid Washington Food Worker Card (Health & Food Safety)Minimum 2 years professional experience in Food and Beverage, preferably cateringPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSThis position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 30 pounds on an occasional basis.Able to manipulate a full-size keg of beer (~160 pounds)Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
