Primary responsibilities include managing pricing and supplier relationships for all packaging materials supporting beverage and active nutrition products. This role will lead cost optimization initiatives, drive sourcing strategies, negotiate commercial agreements, and oversee the award and implementation of new packaging business. The Packaging Sourcing Specialist will also develop and maintain strong partnerships with existing and prospective suppliers to ensure supply continuity, innovation, quality, and cost competitiveness.What You're Good AtCollaborating with key stakeholders in the development of strategic packaging component categoriesManage supplier relationships, including pricing, contracts, performance, and allocation of packaging materials across the businessLead RFI/RFQ processes, including supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and business awardsComplete quarterly pricing review and analysis of packaging components, working closely with internal and external partnersMonitor market trends and commodity pricing impacting packaging materials and provide insights to support sourcing decisionsIdentify, develop, and execute cost optimization and value engineering initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional partnersSupport sustainability initiatives through packaging innovation, material optimization, and supplier collaborationManage contracted packaging pricing by tracking forecasts, usage, and purchase requirements to ensure cost accuracy and supply continuitySupport supply chain teams through coordinating expedites and ensuring material availabilityWhat You ContributeBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Packaging Engineering / Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field2+ years of experience or interactive exposure in a packaging/supply chain role.Solid understanding of packaging materials and product commercialization process from packaging design through manufacturingProficient in Microsoft office, TOPS; Advanced Excel knowledge preferred.Experience in fast paced CPG environment is a plus.Ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgement, and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customersAbility to manage multiple projects independently in a faced paced environmentFlexibility to independently travel up to 25% of the time to supplier locations and industry conferencesStrong knowledge of commodities and global packaging marketsExperience with primary and secondary packaging equipment and applicationWhy Nutrabolt?Wellness BenefitsNutrabolt cares about our teammates’ physical, mental, and financial wellness by providing benefits like: competitive health insurance, life insurance, mental wellness programs, 401K matching, and a Lifestyle Spending Account.Lifestyle PerksWe offer unlimited vacation paid time off and volunteer time off.
