We are looking for expert educators who want to make a difference with their passion. Position Description We are seeking a part‑time, in‑person Elementary Tutor to provide group and/or one‑to‑one tutoring instruction in English and Math during day‑time hours and/or evening hours (depending on your availability). Location: Various locations across New Castle County Type: Part‑time Schedule: Flexible; looking for a tutor who can support for less than 10 hours a week between 8 AM‑3 PM and/or 3:30 PM‑7:30 PM, depending on your availability Travel: Tutor may travel to different locations across New Castle County to provide tutoring (for example, in schools or libraries) Why join our team Competitive hourly rate based on experience Flexible part‑time hours Flexibility to build creative, engaging lessons and professional autonomy within a supportive environment Referral program incentives Supportive and engaging work environment What you’ll do Provide 1:1 or small group tutoring for instruction in elementary reading and math in a school setting or other location. Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles. Use creative, hands‑on approaches to make reading and math engaging and relevant. Maintain accurate documentation of students’ sessions and progress. Communicate with parents regularly and students’ teacher as needed. Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences. Your qualifications A minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience with elementary‑aged students (excluding student teaching). Bachelor’s degree required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level. Ability to manage students in a group setting. Ability to travel to different locations in New Castle County (like schools, libraries, etc.).
