PropelRemoteApril 12th, 2026
⚙️ AI Focused .NET / React — Back End Leaning Senior Software Engineer📍 Remote (UAE Timezone overlap required)📅 ASAP StartOur client is looking for a Software Engineer who does not just use AI as a bolt-on tool but has made it a genuine part of how they write, review, and ship code every single day.Experience level matters less than quality of thinking. Whether a candidate has one year or ten years behind them, what matters is how they approach problems, how they communicate, and how deeply AI is woven into their development practice. The RoleOur client is a product-led technology business operating at genuine pace across a range of industries. They are hiring a full stack engineer with a clear back-end emphasis, working primarily in C# (.NET) alongside a Next.js front end, building on live products within short, high-accountability sprint cycles (typically two to four weeks). Ownership is real and starts from day one. What sets this team apart is how they work. AI tooling is embedded into every stage of the delivery process, from planning and discovery through to execution and code review. This is not a team that experiments with AI occasionally. It is a team that has restructured how it operates around it. Candidates will be assessed on their AI working practices during interview, so engineers who are already working this way will be at a significant advantage.Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production systems is highly valued. The client works with LLM APIs and expects engineers to understand prompt engineering, context management, retrieval-augmented generation patterns, and the practical trade-offs involved in building reliable, maintainable AI-powered features rather than fragile prototypes. What You Will BringStrong .NET / C# experience with working knowledge of Next.js and front-end deliverySolid object-oriented programming fundamentals applied to complex, evolving production systemsHands-on experience integrating AI and LLM APIs into real products. The client wants to see engineers who have built with models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or open-source equivalents and understand how to do so responsibly and maintainablyA clear understanding of the difference between leveraging AI thoughtfully and creating brittle AI spaghetti. The client values engineers who can articulate that distinction clearlyAI-first development habits: this means using AI tools throughout the workflow including code generation, test writing, documentation, code review, and architectural planning, not just for occasional autocompleteFamiliarity with prompt engineering, context window management, RAG architectures, or fine-tuning concepts is a strong differentiatorComfort jumping into live codebases and adapting quickly to existing product culture and engineering standardsThe ability to translate business requirements into clean, proportionate technical solutions without over-engineeringProactive, high-frequency communication. This team moves at pace and clear, consistent communication is a core expectation rather than a nice to haveEnergy for rapid iterative delivery cycles rather than resistance to themA Note on AI IntegrationOur client is genuinely ahead of the market in how they use AI across their engineering team. They are not looking for engineers who are curious about AI and plan to explore it. They are looking for engineers who have already made it central to how they work and can demonstrate that clearly. In practice this means being able to speak confidently about which AI tools are embedded in their daily workflow, how they have used LLM integrations in past projects, what has worked and what has not, and how they think about the quality and reliability of AI-assisted output. Candidates who treat AI as a genuine professional discipline rather than a shortcut will stand out strongly. The CompanyOur client is a product-led digital transformation business working across a range of exciting sectors. The team is growing at pace and this is the kind of environment where strong engineers progress quickly, take on meaningful responsibility early, and have a direct impact on the products they build. The Money & ContractThis will be an initial 4 month contract with the view to extend long termRate: $6,000 - $10,000 / month Next StepsIf you are a software engineer with strong .NET experience who has fully integrated AI into your development workflow and ideally has experience building with LLMs, please share your CV by clicking apply.
