We value what makes you different and empower you to act on your ideas.The HR Intern provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources department while gaining hands-on experience in HR operations within a construction environment.To be successful in this internship, you must understand, model, and represent Knutson's culture, values, and The Knutson Experience. At Knutson, we work hard, we have fun, and we are proud of the positive impacts we have on the communities we serve.The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist with filing and maintaining employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions using human resources management systemsSupport onboarding efforts by preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating DocuSign documents, and assisting with orientation logisticsHelp coordinate pre-employment requirements such as background checks and drug testingAssist in maintaining and updating HR documents, trackers, and internal systems (e.g., CMiC)Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and HR communicationsAttend and participate in recruitment events such as college visits and career fairs, as neededProvide general administrative support to the HR teamMaintain confidentiality of sensitive employee informationField employee questions as appropriate and escalate when neededAssist with special projects, including policy updates, reporting, and training materialsAll other duties, tasks and/or projects as assignedParticipation and completion in scheduled and applicable safety training, as determined by the company.Required Skills and Abilities:Ability to effectively communicate Knutson's purpose, people-focused culture, and valuesExcellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skillsSkilled in computer and systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and internet-based tools & systemsStrong customer service and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, and trustworthiness.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions.Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related fieldPrevious internship or administrative experience is a plus, but not requiredReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Schedule:Monday to Friday
