Research Analyst/ Sales Insight Analyst/ Media Research Analyst/ Project Coordinator Location- NYC NY 10014Onsite roleInterview- Video Contract to hire role Payrate- 36/hr on W2 MaxManager Notes:What they will do daily:Help sales teams win clients using data-backed insightsPull data from tools like Nielsen, MRI-Simmons, ComscoreCreate custom research reports for client pitchesTrack which insights actually helped generate revenueAnalyze advertising trends, top spenders, and audience behaviorBuild reports + presentations for marketing and sales teamsThis is a “Media Research + Ad Sales Analytics” role (not pure data science, not pure marketing).Must HaveCore Experience2+ years in:Media Research / Ad Sales Analytics / Audience InsightsExperience supporting:Ad Sales OR Media Planning teamsMust have hands-on experience with at least 2–3 of these:MRI-Simmons (mandatory / highly preferred)Nielsen (NPower / Streaming Ratings)Comscore VMXiSpotMediaRadarFunctional SkillsCustom research for client presentationsAudience insights & segmentationMarketplace / competitive analysisBuilding recurring reports (weekly/monthly)Translating data → sales storySoft Skills (Very Important Here)Ability to work with sales teamsStrong storytelling with dataFast turnaround on requestsRed Flags (Reject Profiles)Pure data analysts (SQL/Python heavy but no media tools)Pure marketing/content profilesNo exposure to ad sales or media measurementNo Nielsen / MRI / Comscore exposureReporting to the Head of Research & Insights, the Senior Research Analyst is responsible for supporting Media Sales and Ad Sale Marketing with compelling data-driven insights to drive sales and position Media as a must-buy, and deliver marketplace intelligence for prospecting. The role consists of reporting and analysis across Media and the video landscape in support of advertising and media measurement initiatives. Skills:Expertly and efficiently respond to requests from Sales for custom research for agency and client presentations. Thorough mastery of MRI-Simmons essential, Nielsen NPower, Nielsen Streaming Platform Ratings, Comscore VMX, iSpot, Media RadarTrack all research requests and match to sales revenue on a weekly basis.Summarize marketplace intelligence, including quarterly reports of Top Ad Spenders by Industry Vertical from Media Radar, Magna Global, iSpot.Summarize and distribute weekly newsletter and other marketplace reports from eMarketer, Magna, to SalesProduce and maintain recurring reports including Media Viewer profiles, Category analyses for industry verticals, quarterly Media Subs by DMA, and monthly Media reach as measured by Nielsen and Comscore.Collaborate with Ad Sales Marketing to support Marketing presentations and decks with proof points from 3P sources, Nielsen, MRI, Comscore.
