Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Beginning September 8, 2026 and continuing through June 17, 2027, this position offers the chance to make a real difference on-site, working face-to-face with students and collaborating with a dedicated school staff.There are five openings available to provide targeted support across two essential caseloads:Behavior-focused elementary classrooms, where skills in de-escalation, supporting students with physical aggression or elopement tendencies, and proactive behavior management strategies are essential.High-volume Learning Resource Classrooms, requiring experience and confidence managing a large caseload (averaging 43 students) and adapting instruction to diverse learning needs.Desired Qualifications:Valid and active Special Education teaching certification or license in Oregon.Documented experience in elementary settings with behavioral support, including managing incidents involving aggression and elopement.Demonstrated ability to lead high-capacity LRCs, providing differentiated instruction and effective classroom management for a wide range of student abilities.Strong teamwork skills and commitment to collaborative partnerships with fellow educators and staff.Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities.To be considered, please provide contact information for your three most recent supervisor references—this is a firm requirement.Key Responsibilities:Deliver instruction and behavioral interventions tailored to each student's needs.Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as necessary.Engage in IEP development, implementation, and review processes.Participate in ongoing collaboration with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.Foster an inclusive, structured, and supportive classroom community.Interviews will begin June 22.
